The Challenge
Vault, a leading B2B banking platform, needed a complete redesign of their dashboard to improve user experience and data accessibility. The existing interface was cluttered, making it difficult for users to quickly access critical financial information.
Key Problems Identified
- Information overload: Too much data displayed without hierarchy
- Poor navigation: Users couldn’t find features quickly
- Accessibility issues: Failed WCAG 2.0 compliance
- Mobile experience: Dashboard was desktop-only
The Solution
We implemented a modular card-based design system that allows users to customize their dashboard layout.
Design Process
1. Research & Discovery
We conducted 20+ user interviews and analyzed 6 months of analytics data to understand pain points and usage patterns.
2. Information Architecture
Restructured the entire navigation based on user mental models and frequency of use.
3. Visual Design
Created a clean, modern interface with clear visual hierarchy:
- Consistent spacing system (8px grid)
- Limited color palette with meaningful use
- Typography scale for better readability
4. Prototyping & Testing
Built high-fidelity prototypes and conducted 3 rounds of usability testing with 15 participants.
Key Features
- Real-time data visualization with interactive charts
- Accessibility-first design meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards
- Dark mode support with automatic system detection
- Mobile-responsive layout for on-the-go access
- Customizable dashboard with drag-and-drop widgets
The Results
The redesign launched successfully with immediate positive feedback from users. Key metrics showed significant improvement across the board.
“The new dashboard has completely transformed how our team works. We can now find everything we need in seconds.” — CFO, Enterprise Client
